Some have a rubber o-ring in there.

They have been known to fall out when taken apart and re-connected, happened to me once...., found out the next day when my connection leaked.

Mine had so may leaks (and the dealer could not fix them all ... or would not) so I cut the hose where it came through the wall added a sharkbite to hose adapter then used a residential braided hose from there to the toilet not had a leak since.

Did the same thing (steel braided) on my retired Jayco, and today I started the process of doing the same on my 2018 Jayco....., and this is why:

The PEX line was installed such that it was torquing the 90 degree connector...




For a plastic connector it didn't come off very easily, and looking at the seal in the connector explains some of the issue...., was only a matter of time and I would have a leaker......

Wow, thanks for posting the pics. I think I'll take a look at mine, and pay closer attention to any other fittings where it may be stressed.
