New MaxxAir II

My old MaxxAir II cover was broken when it caught a low hanging branch. No prob, I installed that one so replacing it will be a snap.
The bad news: the new one is narrower than the old one and the old brackets stick out too far.
The good news: the new brackets are identical to the old ones except they are shorter which compensates for the narrower width of the new cover. The holes I drilled in the vent frame for the first cover were in the correct location so the new brackets bolted right up.

At the end of the day it was a pretty painless swap. My old cover was circa 2014 and I have no idea when the change occurred.

Did your new ones have the hinged side pins for easy cleaning access?

Yes, “diaper” pins on both side. The old one had the pins on one side and bolts on the other which made kind of a hinge. The pins will also act as a hinge or the entire cover can be removed without any tools. I like the 4 pin arrangement better.
