Thinking out loud here but reading how the system operates when the slide is fully opened or closed the switch is held to synch the motors. Holding the switch causes the motors to amp out which i assume tells the controller they are in synch. Per the Schwintck manual when the switch is released the motor is "locked". Could it be the motors are slightly out of sync? Or could it be a bad motor because it is not locking? Note: I'm not sure if the "locking" feature is a physical brake or electric brake.[/QUOTE]
That's what I was thinking- It is synced when closing, and both sides equally compress the gasket. Then after rolling just a few miles, one side opens up about 3/4". Since the motor has such a high gear ratio, 500:1, it seems that it would automatically lock just by needing too much force to overcome that ratio and spin the motor.
