New TT and Screen Door wont stay latched

Bought a new 2018 242BHSW last month and we have been using it regularly.

We have run into an issue with the screen door. It will stay attached to the main door without issue. When we try to close the screen on its own the it will not latch and stay closed.

Any ideas? I'll try to post some pics this evening.

Dealer is an hour away and I don't want to deal with the appointment and the drive for a simple issue.

If it's not a defective latch, you should be able to listen bolts/screws for the latch and adjust it.

We ran into that with our new Precept. The range of adjustment was insufficient. It was fixed by drilling new mounting holes for the latching assembly. And yes, one hole remains visible and could be filled with “something.”

Ended up shimming out the latch on the door jam about a 1/16 of an inch and that solved the issue.
