Norcold 4 door cooling fans

Just looked inside my top vent on my Norcold. There are 2 fans for removing the heat. Only 1 was running. Should both be running at the same time? Anyone know where they get power?

A temp switch that is mounted on the upper left of the tubing when facing the rear of the fridge runs all of the exterior fans, 3 I believe. Check for a loose wire. Mine is pretty tight in there. If you're having cooling issues on the 2118 norcold check the center door flap, mine was hanging up on the bottom and not closing. Left door needs to be shimmed up

As Atlanta says they both should be running. I’ve replaced both fans twice on our Norcold 4-door. Found replacements on Amazon. The hardest part of replacing them is removing the fridge. I used a furniture dolly with some 2x4’s and with the help from my neighbor was able to do the job.

Luckily mine has the vent up top on the side. Easy replacement from outside. Replaced the one not working and bought 2 extras. I imagine the heat is really tough on these fans. I also wire a switch at the bottom vent to turn on the fans manually if I think they need to be running.
