Not surprised just frustrated
I spent the day tracing a tail / running light issue. Running lights work up to the middle Ambers. Stop / turn work but tail and rear markers do not.
I can apply 12 volts to any of the non working lights and it will illuminate all that are non working but won't backfeed to the center Ambers. Obviously the break is somewhere between the Ambers and the tail but I can't find it. I have every light pulled out and all seems fine.
I traced the power wire to behind my load center and that's where my disappointment happened... I can't believe how anyone can consider this a good clean install!
Any thoughts on where the problem may be I'm open to suggestions.

I doubt the marker lights are in that wiring harness. Usually they run down the frame or in the wall separately.

I would start with the connections with those ScotchLocks. They're inherently an iffy connection, just a quick and easy way to splice power.
It looks like one of them isn't locked together, if I'm seeing it right.

I have them all opened to test them. My green wire confirmed to be the marker lights travels half way down the frame and then goes up through the floor behind the load center. I was also surprised that they enter the camper there as well. I'm going to cut the scotch locks out tomorrow and splice / solder the connections and try to clean up the rats nest a little as well.

It seems like there's been a lot of tail light/marker issues lately here. At least you've got an extra $1000 worth of wire they left you with! I hate electrical issues with a passion. I've spent a lot of time on a friends TT that had no tail light on one side, and he was 200 miles from home, so it was imperative to get it working. I feel your frustration. I hope you find the problem soon.

Thanks Jflight - I look at it like a challenge. I'm really pretty good with electrical stuff but this one has me scratching my head. If I had an easy way to just run a new piece of wire between what's working and what's not I'd call it done. I can't in good conscience put my load center back in without at least cleaning up the nest a little bit...

Check ground connection - which is one of the biggest problems with RV
Do It Yourself - instead of paying RV shops $$$$

All grounds have been located and checked good. If I send 12V I can get the lights that are not working to power up. I just can't figure out where the break is from mid-ship back. Also, Brake / turn signals work as they should. Its just tail and only the rear markers that are out.
I do all repairs myself. I don't ever use a dealer....

A question just occurred to me. Is there a slide on that side of your RV? Like it breaking the wire from going in and out?

There is a slide and the wiring has continuity both retracted and extended. Great thought...

I'm out of ideas, except the one of me coming to Newburgh with my test light and ohm meter. But at $5 a mile, $129.95 service call charge, and coffee surcharge it would be cost prohibitive. Frankly, I don't think I'm worth it, but don't tell anyone! LOL!

HA! Yeah the service call fee is fine but damn that mileage. Was just up your way last week - Watkins Glen - I'd charge extra just for the mountains....

Lol, you want nightmares, let me invite you to peek into the basement of my 5th wheel. Between the HVAC, plumbing, and wires running all directions across, over and under each other it gives me a twitching eye every time I look in there. It’s a spiderweb of zip ties and clamps

Well after 2 days of tracing and pulling nearly every exterior light, the load center and changing my planof attack multiple times, I found the problem.
Believe it or not it was a bad Scotch lock connector in of all places the ceiling of the camper. The routing that the running light wiring takes is insane and actually enters the body of the camper behind the load center and then goes up and over the living space, back down the other side only to cross back over through the under belly!
I've got to say this one kicked my ass!
