I'm probably just the unlucky one (and I do camp in more extreme temps), but I'd throw my $.02 worth behind changing those to ball valves. I replaced mine with ball valves after one of those handles popped out in the basement.
Granted 2 things on mine: 1) mine were an earlier model and didn't have retaining clips (very stupid design) and 2) I was camping with lows of -21F (though all lines and those handle valves were heat traced for -45-ish F temps and in the heated basement, it still popped out). I was lucky enough to have been still setting up stuff outside when it went and got the water off right away with very little soaking of the inside. Otherwise, it could have been a real nightmare.
I might trust these newer ones a little more with retaining clips, though probably not much. I don't tend to trust things that can bounce loose in a bouncing house. My solution to mine until I got back from my trip was to safety wire the T-handle such that it couldn't move at all. No more problems, and definitely no more since the ball valves were installed. But, it almost ruined that ski trip for me.
YMMV, but thought I'd share my experience.
