Possible bearing problem?

Greasing my hubs today 2016 Whitehawk 23mrb. I got to the last one and noticed it made a slight grinding noise only when spinning it backwards. I probably have 1000 miles or less over the two seasons I have used it.
Any thoughts before I take it all apart? Wiggling the wheel shows no play side to side.
Thanks in advance.

Tom

Can you take the temperature after driving for a while? I check temps each time we stop, did find one running hot, added grease and no more issue. I check hubs and also tire temp...

Grinding noise might be from your brake-shoes.

X-2 I just lifted my rig and inspected the shackles and running hardware. I noticed no play in the bearings and a slight grinding noise when hand spinning the tires.

I'm not concerned about it. I do still monitor the temps while underway and am satisfied with what I see.

I ended up pulling the hub and found my grease seal had failed and there was grease in my brakes... I am assuming the sound was the brakes rubbing when I spun it backwards. Bearings, spindle and races all look good. Cleaned it all up, now waiting for the wife to get home with a new seal. Hopefully that was it.

Thanks for the replies.

Happens a lot on Lippert products, all four seal bad on are Eagle RSTS! The seals are blown at the factory! There own employee's do not even know how to pack the bearings. And a wind fall in repairs for the RV dealers! And the customers get soaked.

The bad part is it is not a new problem. Mine were like that in 2011. I was told that Jayco does not lubricate them.
They are already lubed when they come from the chassis mfg.

Whatever, it is a pain for the consumer, even though it is a warranty repair.
