2018 Alante 31R- power awning has power, but just rolls the arms do not extend and seem stuck. I am waiting for Jayco and the dealership to get back to me. Any suggestions ?

Is the roller turning? If so, help the arm start unrolling out. Sometimes mine needs a hand in cold weather.

It is not uncommon for them to stick. After you unroll a bit, you should be able to tap the aluminum rails and it should pop out, then it will continue to unroll as you drive the motor.

What actually keeps the awning open is the gas strut. When the awning is closed the strut is parallel with the rail. If there is any resistance, the struts just cannot overcome the initial friction.

I found I need to lube the rails at least once a year. I have tried a few different lubes, spray silicone seams to work just as well as anything else.

My power awing on new TT was noisy and slow, so I sprayed some silicone spray, smoothed it up.
