Precept31 UL water tank

I’ve read a few posts about some people having problems with the water tanks coming loose. I went out to check on mine. It definitely is not coming loose with the through bolts but I found several wire bundles running between the tank and frame. When filled with water it puts tremendous pressure on these wires and can only imagine with all the movement going down the road could wear through the wires. I’m emptying the tank now and can see 2 of the wire bundles I can take apart and reroute. The others I’m going to try to cut some starboard and shim up the metal straps holding the tank to give some clearance for the wires. What were they thinking???

Got the tank drained. Had some 1” thick starboard from another project. Cut a piece 5” wide and 20” long to go from strap to strap. Secured with heavy duty wire ties. Plenty of room now for wiring. Plus the starboard keeps the tank flat instead of bulging down.
