Pressure relief valve gushing

I have a 95 Jayco. The last 2 times camping when I filled the water heater and turned the pilot on water would gush out of the relief valve after heating the water. I then have to turn the water heater off. I was using water from my fresh water tank. Not that that makes any difference. I have added a photo of where the water is leaking from.
Thank you in advance!!

Relief valves do fail. As old and soft said time to replace the valve.

In the meantime, try flipping the over-pressure valve lever open and shut a few times, when there's pressure in the water system. Doing that might help reseal the pressure valve. But do replace it.

I carry a spare in my parts box. Never know when it will fail. I also carry extra toilet repair parts and A/C capacitors, along with miscellaneous plumbing washers.
