Propane\ Carbon Monoxide alarm

We had an alarm on our CO\ propane alarm come in a 2am 2 nights ago which coincided with a huge rain storm that passed thru. What's up with that?
Up until then it has worked flawlessly since the rig was new in 2011. I removed the unit and disconnected the power to silence the alarm.

No co or propane leaks.

I have replaced them before on other units and the sticker says to replace at 60 months or when it fails.

Bought the same one from Ebay for $57.00

It was due to be replaced. (Every 5 Years) $57 is a good price.

I know if you are on battery power and the voltage gets too low they will sound off too.

Mine had a expiration date of Aug 2014. It has worked before this so I saw no need to replace it.

My trailer is a 2013, made in Oct. 2012. Last spring, the CO/Propane detector started going off every couple of days. After a couple of months, that progressed to about one every hour, so I removed it. Took it into the dealer, and they replaced it under warranty. New one works great, but I found out the hard way that spray foam carpet cleaner will set it off.

May have been a lightning strike near by. Some things don't like near misses.
