Propane Regulator? Recommendations

I need to replace the regulator on my Whitehawk 23MRB. What do I need to know? Does it need to have a certain BTU flow rate. I know that I have to match the threads on the hose to the TT, my guess is they are not standard.
I will just purchase new SS hose assemblies once I choose the regulator. Also match the pigtail fittings to the correct thread size on the regulator. 2 stage, auto switch over. What else?

We're still using the original one that came on it, but this one's what we carry for a spare.

The only other piece you may need is the white plastic cover for the second stage, that snaps on. Part number MEGR-862, or MEGR-862P for individually packaged

I also have the MARSH EXCEL MEGR253H Marshall Excelsior Reg 2-Stage Auto. I don't have the cover you're referring to. What's its function. My regulator automatically switches over to the second tank when the one drawn on drops below a certain point without that cover.
