Propane release

I have had my relief valve on my mounted propane tank on my Jayco Greyhawk activate twice today. I filled it yesterday and am down to half now. It's Saturday now. Need help.

Sounds like the valve is getting weak and popping off at a lower pressure. I'd get it fixed or if it's a 20lb tank swap it out.

X2. Had to have one installed on a tank several years ago, when they came up with the new-style valves. Too long ago to remember the cost, but the place at which you got it filled should be able to replace it at a reasonable price. In the mean time, don't smoke around it!

Had same issue. Tank was full, noticed the leak at a rest stop, had to continue driving to dissipate the gas, half full when it stopped leaking. Took several calls to Jayco to persuade them to replace the valve. Dealer would not replace, had to be done by pros who can capture the escaping propane when the valve is removed. Seems ok now.

That's good to hear. None of the RV shops would touch it. I had Suburban Propane look at and their evaluation was that the valve was probably faulty and should be replaced. Jayco sent a part over night to have them replace it. Hope it holds when we get back on the road.
