QC LP valves

A friend asked me to look a a problem on his outside kitchen. I found a bad pigtail on his propane tank but the one that is baffling me is the Low Pressure QC valve on the frame. I can't get gas to go thru the valve when properly connected.

I think it has gravel inside it as the rubber cover was not on it. I replaced it and all is fine but I have been trying to blow it out and clean and lubricate it to no avail. No damage or anything out of order from inspection.

If I can get it working, I will keep it for a spare.

I did find out from a pressure warning that is Stamped on the side that it’s rated for 16 psi pressure.

I had one fail with very similar symptoms. I never could find out what stopped the flow. I cut it apart at one point because I was convinced there was some piece of foreign something in there but never did figure it out. Remains one of my campers unsolved mysteries to this day...

The new one cost $37. with taxes. Fixed it. I'll put the valve in my brass scrap bin.
