Quartz Sealer??

The Bride has been looking for someone to brighten the exterior of the 5th. A guy is offering to “cut and polish” and apply a “quartz” sealer.
“Cut n polish” I think is an aggressive polishing compound but has anyone heard of the sealer?

My initial thoughts are a heavy duty polish might be too much for the filon sides and decals. And I wonder if the sealer is “snake oil”.
Your comments and opinions are welcome.

Quartz sealer is sometimes called ceramic quartz sealer or just ceramic sealer or ceramic coating. Not snake oil. Often used in car detailing after paint correction and waxing to provide a strong, glass like coating which lasts much longer than wax alone. It’s not cheap either.

You can't compound the decals. Unless the gelcoat is oxidized then it won't get much better by buffing.

I was at a campground last winter and some guy rode by one a bike and gave me his card for RV detailing. He said he could buff out the faded gelcoat on my front cap and said he'd done it many times before. When I heard that I just sent him packing.
