Quick fix for leaking skylight?

I have a skylight that is leaking in the bathroom and unable to visit a store in the next few days.

I was planning on covering with a construction grade trash bag but had a question about taping it down...

So the question... Can I use duct tape and/or flex seal on the roof without causing further damage? Not sure of the exact material name of the roof but it has a slight rubber feel to it.... thank you!

Trash bag and duct tape will work.just fine.
We were camping last year with some friends and theirs did the same thing. We got lucky enough the rain quit just long enough for us to get up there, dry off the area with some towels and a hair dryer and taped it off with a trash bag. Worked like a champ. Rained pretty good that nite and inside was bone dry. Once we got it home we peeled the tape and bag off, no damage to the roof material, but the sealant had a hole in it. We resealed it with some DiCor and everything has been good ever since.

Dont use flex seal, as you will not be able to remove it easily. I aslo do not like duct tape as it drys and leaves a nasty residue after about 2 weeks.

My favorite is polyvinyl tape, but it is crazy expensive. For a few days I would use electrical tape. Easy cleanup, if the roll is fairly fresh. Old electrical tape will leave a gummy residue that is easy to clean up.

We had a hail storm while I was away last spring. I had a friend come over to check out the damage. I had him cover it with a trash bag and gorilla tape. Duck tape should work fine also. Just don't leave it on for very long. It doesn't hold up to the elements very well. Gorilla lasts longer but the glue will still leave residue if it's left on more than a couple weeks. But on the roof you might not care.

I used some electrical tape and when I removed it just used some Goo Gone to remove the residue.
