Repair low limb damage

I discovered damage caused by a low limb, not a clue where it happened. First discovery was the TV antenna (bat wing) was missing one of its wings. My son climbed on the roof and found the piece. I got a new head for it and when installing it noticed the skylight was also broken, then saw the vent cover was also damaged. They were pretty much in a straight line and figure it all happened at the same time. Luckily the skylight crack was such that it prevented water intrusion, same tor the vent cover.
TV head installed, eternabond band-aid over the crack on the skylight and the vent closed.
Searched for and ordered a replacement skylight. Found 2 replacement vent covers (I had installed only one on the bath vent).
Skylight was installed about a week ago and leveling sealer applied to the edges and screws and new MaxxAir covers installed.
Today I applied the eternabond over the skylight sealer. And that drama is behind me.
I’ve read that if there aren’t pics it didn’t happen;

Nice work, RH1!

As one who also needs to replace a skylight, how difficult was it? Maybe tell us what was involved?

TIA,

Murff

A little more on my work. The vent covers are a snap, but I discovered the new covers are narrower than the original I installed in ‘14, so the existing mounting brackets wouldn’t work. The good news is the new brackets are identical to the old ones, remove the old, screw the new ones into the old holes. Lined up great.
The skylight was a little more work. 2 biggest parts, #1 getting the nerve up to dive in, #2 cleaning enough of the old sealer/adhesive off to have a pretty level/smooth surface. I solved #2 with a heat gun (gentle heat), a scraping tool and some mineral spirits. After spending an hour or so removing and cleaning the new skylight install was straightforward. I positioned it and marked where it would sit with a black marker, squirted some skylight adhesive down, positioned the skylight and screwed it down. Wrapped up the day by putting some “roof pudding” down to seal the edges and screws.
I wrapped things up today by applying the e’bond tape.

Murff, not bad at all. You asked as I was pecking in the details. Feel free to ask Q’s about any details needing more data.
I’m also not so clever as to have figured all this out on my own, thanks to Mr. YouTube in order.
