Replace washer in fitting behind toilet

I’m having an issue with water leaking behind the toilet. It is not a continuous drip but rather I walk in to find Water on the floor, it can be anywhere from a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water. I have tried to find where it is coming from several times but no luck.
So today I pulled the toilet and noticed that the washer that came out of the fitting is deformed. I went to Home Depot to try and find a replacement washer and no luck so went to a plumbing supply shop. The guy at the counter said that he didn’t have any washers with the contour of the one that i had and gave me a flat washer to put in its place. He said it may have been a flat washer at one time that was tightened down on to much causing it to deform.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I think the fitting is called a swivel fitting. Mine have a washer in them that looks like yours and they are not just a flat washer. I too tried to find a replacement washer at either Home Depot or Lowe's and was told they don't carry them. I ended up buying a new swivel fitting and removing the washer from it. I think that a real plumbing supply store would have the washers, but it may be easier and cheaper overall just to buy a new fitting in order to get a new washer. Maybe an RV dealer would have the washers?

Is the valve leaking??? Or your toilet could be like mine.. Jayco put so many connections in that pipe from the wall to the toilet that one of them was always leaking, had it fixed 8 times and still leaked... soooo I cut the plastic pipe where it comes out of the wall added a male hose end to it the got a double female braided (flexible) hose and never had a leak since.

It's a typical cone washer that's been "squished"..

I thought it might be a cone washer but put the flat washer in the guy at the plumbing supply gave me for free with a little Teflon tape on the thread and no leaks as of yet. I also tightened the bowl down to floor a little bit more we will see what happens. I may have to set up my go pro and leave it running to catch the mystery leak in action.

Thank you for the replies
