Replacing Kitchen Faucet

Hello all,

What is this fitting called and how do I remove it?

It is the the white plastic fitting in the attached photo. It has 4 plastic fingers which clip into the corresponding plastic fitting on the hose.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Its a quick disconnect fitting, here is a link from Kohler that shows how to take it apart, it should be similar to what you have.

Thanks Sundancer, but the clips are on the brass fitting side, not the hose portion.

Going by the link you provided, I tried to find a way to press in on the clips, but can see none.

I appreciate your help though.

Many thanks to Sumtin on irv2.com. His advice saved the day.

Its called a quick connect. At the top end of the QC assembly (the white part) there is a plastic ring that's a part of the assembly. To remove just push upward on the main body of the connector against the ring ( which does not move). While pressing up hold the ring and main body together with your fingers then pull the whole assembly down. It should come off but you might have to struggle with it a bit. The trick is you have to keep the ring and main body squeezed together as you pull down. Hope that help.
