Residential Fridge Mounting
The Whirlpool side by side residential fridge in my 2020 Seismic 4113 is not cooling either side. Thankfully it’s covered under warranty and I have a whirlpool tech coming out tomorrow. Knowing he would need access to work on the unit I removed it from the cubby in the slide out and relocated it to the living room. As others have noted the fridge was not really secured well from the factory. There was an angle bracket epoxied and duct taped to the top of the fridge and screwed into the trim wood above the fridge. The bottom was secured with a simple wood screw driven into the floor in front of the bottom frame of the fridge. I was pretty surprised. I figured there would be more to this. Of course the expoy and tape holding the angle bracket to the top of the fridge gave way when I was removing it from the slide out.
My question is should I simply re expoy and tape the bracket back on after the unit is repaired or does anybody have some better recommendations for securing the fridge back in place?
