Follow manufacturer's instructions on type of cleaner, soft bristle, do the inspection for hole repair, caulking. Go slow, it gets awful slippery.

The current recommendation from Dicor is Dawn and warm water, and a medium bristle brush.

The first year I did it your way with the same aches and pains. For the last 5 years I have been using my electric high pressure washer. Works great! No problems in 5 years. I also check to make sure there are no rips or caulking that needs repair. No muscle aches either.

Finally got to wash the roof.
