Roof Maintenance

Bought a new 2023 jayco jayflight 184BS, and im wondering if I need to put a coat of something on the roofs fabric soon? Ive read in some forums that some folks say you only need to use self leveling products around the AC unit etc. And tape for tears. But is more needed? BTW im a hands on kinda guy did asphalt for a living for 30 yrs, local 3 operating engineers union. But im new to RV ownership so any advice/tips/tricks etc are appreciated.

Never "coated" the roof on any unit we ever owned. I always used ETERNABOND tape right over the DICOR shortly after purchase and then just checked it periodically. Never had any issues.

What Grumpy said!
Eternabond is the best solution. That self leveling stuff needs regular redo's.
Eternabond once and done!

Normally AC unit does not have a sealant around it. They use a foam gasket under the unit
As for other items on roof you can remove the self levelling lumpy stuff but myself I just went right over it with Eternabond tape that was wide enough to cover both sides easily.
