Roof wrinkles
I was going to install a MaxxAir vent cover today, figured I'd look at the roof while I was at it. Should there be cause for concern in regards to these wrinkles? Only seem to be in those two places at the back of the trailer.

No, I don't think its that big of a deal. Its a sheet of rubber, unless it gets a lot bigger, it should be fine.

The wrinkles will create an uneven wear pattern and shortened life expectancy. The top of the wrinkle at the ridge will begin to wear more quickly from UV exposure and stress. Standing water during inclement weather conditions at the low spots can create an uneven thermal expansion process which will also accelerate wear and degradation.

I will send the dealer an e-mail with pics and let them know. At the very least I would be covered if they said "you never said anything"

I would be more surprised if I ever was to see a camper roof without the wrinkles.

It will be fine. They will probably go away in the heat of the summer. But, if it bothers you then run it past the dealer. Like others have said at least get it documented.

The fact that wrinkles already exist can be an indication of moisture penetration. I've been on a lot of RV roofs lately as we've had a crazy amount of rain fall this year in California. I've not seen an indication that roof wrinkles or blistering are common on new RV's...

Common to see them over this way. poor installation, didn't bond here and there etc. Very common. Sometimes they come and go with the weather.

Last Summer, while traveling down I-55, I saw a 5er with a HUGE roof membrane bubble on the top-front of the roof. Looked like a Beluga Whale.

Checked the roof this morning....wrinkles are gone. Due to temp change?

Things expand and contract with temp changes. More than likely that is what it was.

I noticed similar wrinkles at the rear of our Greyhawk's TPO roof last summer. Emailed pics to our dealer's service manager. He replied, "air under the roof is to be expected during the warmer parts of the season, as cooler weather sets in you will see the roof contract. I don't feel we should be concerned at this time about air in this area unless it migrates forward. Manufacturers typically leave little to no glue in these areas for expansion and contraction."
