RV Maintenance

Hi All,

I was reading a post about slide lube and it got me to thinking it would be really useful at least to a noob such as myself to know exactly what maintenance I should ensure happens and at what schedule. I did a search but after several pages I did not find anything like was I was looking for, I may have missed it and if I did then please link me to it. I personally have a travel trailer but it make this useful to more than just myself lets also include other types of RV such as motor homes and pop ups. I would like to be able to update this post with a simple table of items to maintain and the frequency required, kind of like a car maintenance schedule.

Thanks to all for your input.

James

A complete list is virtually impossible to compile. I am a bit OCD about vehicle maintenance so I go over the top on many things. I do roof maintenance 2 times per year, lubrication of all moving parts once per year, wheels / bearings / tires prior to every season, hitch / coupler several times per season, slide rails and seals, at least once per season, water system sanitizing at least once per season, door lock lubrication once per year, shore power cord once per season, Check all water connections for tightness at least once per season and the list can go on forever....

Why should that be the case? I have a checklist that I compiled for my 2 boats, travel trailer, pool and classic auto. I prefer to generate it in an Excel spreadsheet, with blocks to check off as I go. They are all listed for Spring and Fall requirements. In every case they are merely cuts and pastes, generated from the Owner's Manuals. Just takes a few minutes (or hours.....LOL) to compile and type.

If its truly that difficult, you just gave me an idea......Maybe I'll copywrite my work and sell it on EBay....

Many Free Ones Online

Sorry, but a quick search produced many checklists.

Heres one: https://www.fulltimefamilies.com/wp-...-checklist.pdf

Now if you start a service to come do it in my driveway, we might have a deal...including oil change like at the rallies.

Enjoy.
