Schwintek kitchen slide stuck IN

I finally gave up after using all the instructions and hints to trouble shoot the rear motor not operating. Override, switching cables and even bumping the thing from the controller yielded "yep, it's broke".

It's been in the shop for about three weeks coming Tuesday waiting to figure out what to do. At least I'm grounded by many situations plus virus. Motor is unreachable with slide in and shop is trying to figure out how to move it I guess.

Funny thing is I overrode my concern about this type slide and purchased anyway. I've slept in it about 5 nights total since new. At least it broke towable!

Suggestions welcomed.

It should be pushable once the motor is unplugged from the controller. That releases the brake.

Agreed Grumpy. My only guess at taking this long is they like to have the shop look busy or they can't get enough muscle power together at one time to push.

It was even suggested in what I recently observed that the front motor could be "bumped" by the controller and then all man power directed to the rear of the unlocked slide. Sadly, there is an island with the sink in the middle limiting the space to push. Some sort of jack might be set up I guess. I may volunteer my old fat body to help push if necessary. The entertainment center is the only thing in the rear which should be relatively light.

Film at 11 sometime next week I guess!

Didn't realize it was sarcasm .... but the delays are typical since many shops are buried and understaffed.

Received an update Wednesday that problem appears to have been a loose connection at the controller. Low light may have aided me in not seeing that or a possible wire was loose going into the plug itself. Shop is looking into changing the OTA TV antenna back to a Sensar IV from the new fangled thing. Further checking on the slide also while waiting for the ordered antenna and maybe able to get the rig back home soon.

I had read about wires sometimes not being seated into the plug but didn't check that. May have more news at 11 like said on TV.

Slide worked a few times and now is out of sync after weather change. This is disgusting to have dealer work on it and not be able to trust the slide.

Since I'm a widower now, maybe I should get my old tent out of the attic and sell this thing.
