Sconce on slide out - cannot put bck together --help

Hi, can someone help me, I unscrewed the bottom of the light fixture and a 5 inch threaded rod come out from under light. Now can't get it back together. I takes a small light bulb like 920, and I can't even take top glass off the unit either. Anyone know how to put together ? thanks

A picture would make it clearer.

I had a similar problem with one coming loose while moving. I fixed it by putting a rubber gasket in there to damp the vibrations. No more problems.

Hello, sorry did not have pic. I ended up unscrewing light from wall and fed wires back into fixture to take fixture apart. The long round threaded rod screws into plastic bulb housing. thanks
