Seneca Kodiak Chassis Battery Access

I have a new to me 2010 Seneca 36FK and it has an afermarket Stereo in the cab which got left on for two weeks and ruined my chassis batteries. I have checked all the manuals and searched the forum but can't find any info on how to access the chassis batteries. I see them under the passenger side behind the step and it looks like it slides out but I can't see a release any where. Do I have to remove the step to access the batteries?

There is a bolt on the front and possibly back side (can't remember exactly) and the step pulls out with the batteries.

Thanks for the help. I did see a bolt on the front and back when I looked this tonight. I will give that a try in the morning. So far the House batteries have been working to start the engine. I drove 841 miles today and didn't shut down until I pulled into an RV park at Midnight.
