All this trailer needs is more registers to the rear. I agree 100% that there is enough furnace just the duct-work was not thought out. Right now there is not 1 register in the entire living area.
Dealer says nothing they can do, I say out of here and so is this Jayco.

Sorry to hear about your problem. I agree with you. The times I've used my heater it's been great but if I was in your shoes I would feel the same. Have you taken or recorded temp differences in the trailer? I also don't see why the dealer can't get his crew to install another register or put you in a different unit that is better designed. Kids need to be safe and comfortable. You shouldn't have to compromise their safety for comfort.

Have you contacted Jayco directly? Jayco can and will either help with the dealer's resistance or direct you to a more accomodating one in your area.

Jayco has schematics for all the ducks, wiring, plumbing and structure for your unit so locating an additional location for a duct should be easy enough. Heck they may even want to make a design change from real life feedback on the inadequate supply of heat to the living area.

While I am not familiar with your layout, is it possible that your unit is short a register from the factory? Maybe one is supposed to be there but is not.

Many on this forum have gone to the head offices and had most if not all issues resolved to their satisfaction.

Sorry if I missed this earlier in this post; but, have you physically inspected the furnace and ductwork at its source? I never had a need to inspect mine; however, when I was adding rubber "feet" for my water pump, I did notice a seam or two had been loosely wrapped on my furnace. So, while I had the walls off in my basement (for the water pump mod) I re-taped my ducts. It greatly improved flow. I also removed my floor registers and pulled out large amounts of construction debris left behind from the factory. I used a shop vac to snake thru the ductwork for this.

No ducts = no air to flow out of. Thank you for the input.

I just went out to take a look at mine too, and sure enough even the 2011's have just the one. We don't go out much in the cold, so it's not as much a problem for us, but I can certainly see where this is a problem. It would make a lot of sense to add 2 more registers, one by the couch and one by the dinette.

Had you requested the heating diagram's from Jayco to see if adding a register would be feasible?

I have not been able to get enough time to get in touch with Jayco directly. Currently working 7-12"s with no end in site.
My dealer has gone above and beyond in the past and would think in this case they will again. Might have to go around the service department if this line of thinking continues.
Just heard though an e-mail some parts that were back ordered are in now. This will be the last time for them to act on this matter when rv is in shop. I will need this unit again in about 6weeks till late next fall. Otherwise Rv will not see a shop till I am done.

I hope you get this resolved, juiced. That would be easier and cheaper then having to get another one. Best of luck. A cold living room can`t be any fun!

Talked to the dealer today. They had a look and a second furnace is easy to do and a Quote is in the works.
Thanks for the info Nylon but adding more ducts would take away any heat @ all that does make it to the back. Looks like the drop for the tanks is getting all the flow.

I have a 2010 Eagle 315RLDS with the same problem. I burn up in the bedroom while it's cold in the living area. I have one vent in the living area, one small round vent at the foot of the stairs, one small round vent in the bathroom and one vent in the bedroom. The bathroom and bedroom are hot while everywhere else is cold.
