You mind me asking what a 2nd furnace cost? I can see value in heating the sleeping vs living areas separately. IE: you don't heat what you aren't using!
I will take a couple pics for you first chance I get.
Just under 2k.
I asked them to feed back into the vent that came back to the rear already and I got a song and dance that it would not work. The reason was if either furnace saw positive pressure it would not light. I changed it and it works just like I thought it would. That just shows how little flow there was @ the rear. By doing this now I have my tanks heated by either furnace or both depending on what is running. I have been in it for 3 weeks with sub freezing temps @ night. Works Great!
So in essence, both heaters are plumed into the same ductwork, sort of like how a dual ducted A/C system? Looking forward to the pictures, then I'm printing this topic.

Our 29N TT had the vent heading back down the hallway. Little dog loved it, but bedroom was cold. I,m in the HVAC business and took the run out. It had too much "flex" pipe and balled up. Ended up with a tee under the bed and ran out along the bed. Now the bedroom is toasty. Little dog had to move further back, but hasn't complained.
Our bathroom heats up toasty warm. I keep the door open when the furnace is on to even out the heat. I've thought of changing the plenums at the furnace end so the living room vent gets the stronger air flow. I've also noticed another knock out for another plenum but didn't want to do that until every other option was looked into.
