Shower skylight

So, this afternoon the weatherman lied again as usual. I HAD to get the cover off the trailer and the wind was kicking up. I almost went parasailing with it. It caught me off guard and I started to lose my balance and I put my foot down and I went right thru the shower skylight. Fortunately it was just the tinted outside bubble piece and also the inside piece, otherwise I'd be pulling a Clark Griswold Christmas Vacation when he fell thru the attic.

So, I need an exterior tinted skylight. Which one is a good one and where to get it?

Also, I was a bit surprised at how it broke too. It seemed to be on the brittle side if you ask me.

I replaced ours with a skylight made from Lexan from Ebay. (I believe your original is made from acrylic, not Lexan.) It was thicker material than the original, that had developed a crack through a screw hole.

He makes his own but unfortunately he can't get material right now to make any. There's many available out there, just measure both the outside dimensions, and the length and width of the domed part.

Here's a 'skylight' thread with a couple sources that may be helpful:

I ordered one from my local dealer, all I needed were the dimensions, I think I paid around $100, some are cheaper online, but it’s easier to return to the dealer if it was the wrong size, it worked out great, easy to replace, I just used dicor, sealed up really well, no problems with it at all.

I found a Specialty Recreation smoke one off the ole interweb. I checked with my dealer when I was there yesterday and they didnt have anything in my 14x22 size. They could order one and it was gonna be the same exact one I ordered, but it was another $50 more, and then they would have to ship it to me.
Supposed to rain the next few days, so the gorilla tape job I did should keep it tight from the rain for now.

We finally got some warm and decent weather, so I decided to tackle the skylight. The Dicor came off not as easily as Mrs. Doubtfire's peel off face, but it wasn't much harder. Screws came right out and the old skylight came off fairly easily too. The sealant between the skylight and the roof material is where the challenge came in. I ended putting a wire wheel in a drill motor and carefully took it off that way. The roof material is surprisingly tough too. I used the supplied sealant with the skylight and sealed all the existing screw holes in the roof and run a bead around the new skylight on the inside perimeter of the screw holes. I placed the skylight over the hole as close as possible and went inside and tweaked it a little bit to make sure its covering the hole evenly. I dabbed some more sealant in the skylight screw holes and started to fasten it down working from one end to the other.

I ran some more sealant sealing the exterior perimeter edges and fanned it out onto the roof a little bit.
I'll let it set up for a day or two and run a wide lap of self leveling almond Dicor around it and on top covering the screws like the factory did.

My inner cover has a frosted top to it so itll let the light thru but you can't see thru it. I think I'm gonna get another cover that is just the flange and trimmable sides and install that. It's kinda nice to look up through it and see the skies.

Lake Huron,

The exposed attic space at the skylight opening I attached some Reflectix double foil insulation to help minimize condensation buildup in the attic truss area near the skylight....., did the same with the bathroom vent/fan and kitchen skylight.

A couple years ago (wintering in Texas) I noticed some minor condensation on the interior dome of my kitchen skylight. I removed the plastic skylight ceiling panel and also noticed the presence of condensation on the wood framing near the attic opening as well...., thus the Reflectix.
