Simple Tire Questions (Or so they seem...)

Hello!

New to the RVing life, the 2018 Jayco Envoy being the first. So far we love it!

We are trying to put some air in the tires for our next trip, but every simple maintenance issue seems to be an ordeal!

The air valves are hard to access behind the hubcaps, and one hubcap is put on you we can't even see the air valve. First question, is this normal, to have to remove the covers to access these valves?

Either way, that's fine. No big deal. BUT we don't have the right tool! Does anyone know what size the lug nuts are for the Jayco Envoy 26'? There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual and online the Jayco lug nut sizes differ pretty significantly.

Please help with our simple tire air fill!

Thanks so much friends

Welcome to the forum, RVing life, and congratulations on the Envoy.

I haven't had tire inflation issues, but I've been very pleased with the service I've received from my local Discount Tire. I'm sure they could check the tire pressures and could offer a solution so that you could check it yourself. I'm sure they would know the lug nut size, too.

The wheel skins should allow access to the tire valve. If you can't see the inner one at the back then the duals weren't aligned (lug to lug) when installed.

The hubcap or skin should have a cutout for the valve to fit in so you can check the psi w/o removing the hubcap/skin. You should get a tire gauge that reads close to 100 psi and one that has two sides so you can reach the inner tire on the duals. Most auto parts stores have 'em.
