Slide failure

On my Hummingbird the slide has failed, fortunately in the in position. I have gotten to the controller (Lippert 13398-DO) and it s fault code is for a Major Failure that requires a tech to come and repair.
I have tried to do an override with no luck.
My current thought is to try replacing the controller and then calling a mobile tech if that doesn't work.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Update
New controller installed with no change. I tried a new switch, also nothing. We tried unplugging the motors and pushing but it won't budge.

Calling a mobile tech. Needless to say Mama's Not Happy

Problem solved. After trouble shooting the system and blowing a bunch of fuses the tech and I concluded that there is a staple that has shorted the extend control wire. By removing it and only using the retract wire we can move the slide in and out by changing which lug on the controller the wire is connected to.
Momma is happy to have things back to normal and all I have to do is run a replacement wire.

We found the short. A wire was jammed under the wall and against the frame. Vibration from towing chaffed through the insulation and caused it to short when I tried to extend the slide. Lots of searching but we found it while trying to snake in the new wire. We just cut the bad section out and spliced it back together.

My guess is hasty assembly.

I had similar problem on our big slide & it took a new motor/drive assembly. I can't remember the distributor of the motor I got it from but it's who supplied Jayco. It was like 1/2 of dealers price. My dealer & Jayco had like 3 different p/n's for my 2011 which not one matched what was installed.
