Slide wiper seals

Has anyone had to reattach the top slide seal, the top wiper seal has pulled almost all the staples out of the wall. All the staples are bend like one in the picture. I am thinking of using screws to reattach the seal as I think there is a metal frame in the wall and that is why the staples have come out. Just looking for what other people may have done

Mine did the same thing, it was still under warranty so we took it to the dealer for repair. They used staples.

Timber,

Also confirm that the slide roof surface moves (under operation) smoothly when in contact with the wiper seal. In some cases a poorly adjusted slide can compromise the mounting of vertical and horizontal wiper seals.

There seems to be enough room between the seal and the roof of the side I can get my hand though to the outside easy enough with the seal in place. The problem seems to be the staples only go into the 1/8 luan the aluminum frame is right behind the luan, that's why the staples are bent like they are. At less all the staples stayed in the seal and no damage to the slide roof.
Thanks for thinking of about what may have caused this to happen

I've also seen double sided auto molding tape used along with staples.
