Splendidie 2100XC Winterization

Question regarding winterizing a Splendidie 2100XC, my first time winterizing it. When I follow the instructions it says put the washer in cycle #3 with temp on HOT, and start cycle. OK. So, only cold flows verified by shutting off the cold valve. I thought that's odd, being on HOT with no HOT flow. I never have used hot when doing wash. Then I thought the HOT side might have been plugged, or has a defective solenoid valve. Checked hose, solenoid screen, all clear. Then I set the cycle to #1, temp on HOT, and anti freeze flows into the washer. So now I modified my winterization instructions, use cycle #1 on HOT, drain drum, run cycle #1 COLD, drain drum again.

Now, granted I did not allow the #3 cycle to run until the drum was full as laid out in their winterization instructions, (I only had 3 gallons of anti freeze, I didn't want to dump more into the tanks than needed). Does anyone know if I let it run cycle #3 long enough the hot valve would come on eventually?
