Top slide seal not touching the roof

I own a 2019 Jayflight 38bhds. We had a heavy rain and we had some water come in the ceiling of the kitchen slide. I discovered that the top seal is not touching or barely touching the slide roof on about half the slide. This is allowing water under the seal when there is a large amount of water on the slide roof. The seal does not look damage in any way. Is there a way to adjust this? Do I need to buy a longer seal? Any advice. Thank you.

The kitchen slide on your 38BHDS I 'believe' has what is called a "Through-Frame" style slide manufactured by Lippert (LCI) and is adjustable. Assuming that the seal(s) and the slide roof are not compromised, the slide can be adjusted to close the gap.

If you do have the Through-Frame style slide, the following Lippert installation/adjustment document may be helpful:

Bob thank you for the help. I will give this a shot. I did make some height adjustments and it only seemed to make a difference on the outside of the slide (away from the seal). It didn’t seem to change the height at all where the slide contacts the seal.

What does the slide out ride on on the inside of the Rv?

I honestly do not know. I’ll have to try and figure it out in a few days when I am back at my camper.

I would also confirm that the "styrofoam" (riser) under the slide roof EPDM material isn't compromised..., this can be seen with the slide closed from inside the TT.

On most Through-Frame slides when 'fully opened' there is a piece of styrofoam underneath the slide roof material where the horizontal wiper seals contact the slide roof.

The styrofoam is approx 4" to 6" wide, approx 3/4" high, and runs the full length of the slide roof and acts as 'riser' compensating for when the slide 'sets-down' during the last 6" of opening travel.

Just a thought.....
