Trailer Breaks Squeaking/ Power inverter

Hi All,
I was leaving a campground yesterday and pulled a hard right turn, my breakaway cable popped out and I locked the trailer breaks. I was going very slow at the time. I felt it almost right away and came to a complete stop and put the cable back in. My trailer breaks are squeaking now.... Any idea why?

During my trip (5 days), my power inverter never shut off, the battery showed 100% charge, and it wasn't boiling... I had a problem before with the inverter boiling a battery, thought it was a bad battery not the inverter. I was plugged into shore power for all 5 days.. Any ideas?
