Tripping 30 Amp Main Breaker
Greetings,
On our third trip out to Lake Cumberland, we pulled our unit out of storage and setup camp. The outdoor temp was 105 degrees. After an hour or so, we kept tripping the main 30 amp breaker in the camper. At that time we had the following consuming power; AC on high, fridge via electric, water heater via electric, one TV + booster, and about 6 overhead lights. After blowing the breaker twice, the AC was set to low, and the water heater was turned off. Everything seemed to be fine from there on, but cold showers were not much fun. We did not have this issue on our first two trips with outdoor temps in the low 90's.
My questions are....
Shouldn't 30 amps cover everything "on" in the unit?
Is this common, or is something defective, or pulling more juice due to the heat?
Also looking to buy a generator. What wattage is recommended to run the AC and most everything else?
Please advise.
Thank you in advance for your help!
