Valterra 1-1/2” Bladex valve handle…gone

Hi all,
So on my 2003 Jayco Kiwi Too 22U TT, we had a rear tire shred blowout on the highway (THAT’S another story but all is well and we’ve got four new tires now…) and the shredding violence blew away the T-handle assembly on the Valterra 1-1/2” Bladex gray water valve T-handle/etc right next to it. It’s not clear to me if the whole valve is shot now and needs to be replaced, or if I could get just the T-handle related part of it—can anyone tell from my photos? Unfortunately I don’t know the valve well enough (yet!) to know. Thanks for any help on this—Charley in Colo

From the looks of the picture, I would purchase the valve.

4 small bolts to remove slip the new valve in place and replace 4 screws. You are back in business.

Good deal, thanks. Yep, I’m seeing they’re cheap and readily available, and as you’re noting it’s not a big labor intensive deal to replace, so that what I’ll do. —

Hope your tank was empty, that could get ugly.

It was very nearly empty, all gray and no black…so at least that wasn’t too big a deal.

Lucky you the valve is out in the open and easy to access. On my 2005 19RB I had to drop the coroplast a couple weeks ago to swap out my black tank valve, but yea...4 bolts and about $18 if memory serves. It will come with the handle pieces. Mine had about 18" of handle extension out to the side of the rig. Reused that piece of course.

Yah, replaced the valve today. Three of the four hex head screws/nuts were hopelessly rusted/seized up, had to basically unscrew them into oblivion…but new one’s on now.
