Water Heater

I am new to having a trailer but I am looking forward to not sleeping in a tent any longer. I have a 2018 hummingbird 17 RK that has a leak from the hot water tank. I have tried to fix the tank with some JB Weld Marine but it is still leaking. I have no problem with purchasing a new tank so I have the peace of mind knowing it is fixed. The problem is I can't find anything in the manual or on the tank so I can order a new one. Can anyone help me with this please?

Before you replace are you sure it is not a leaking valve, connection, pressure relief valve or drain?

Did you look for the model number, etc. by opening the outside vent cover. Mine has all the data near the burner rather than inside access area.

Unless the tank has damage or is split from freezing, I see no need to replace it.

Where did you apply the JB Weld?

It is leaking from the tank, bought it used so it appears it was not winterized.
I know I can take the tank out and use a propane torch and aluminum rod to attempt to fix. I think I will just feel better replacing the tank since it is used and I don't want to wait for the next thing.

So it's split from freezing. Time to replace for a couple of reasons, when the tank froze it expanded, and split at the weakest spot. The rest of the tank is still weakened by the freeze, it expanded. You could possibly weld with a TIG welder, but propane torch and aluminum rod isn't something I would ever trust.
