Water heater maintainance

I have a 2017 Jayfeather 25 BH T.T. It has the gas/electric 6 gal water heater system. What do I need to maintain on this unit? Is there an anode rod? Not sure if its an aluminum or steel tank.

Okay I did some searching & from what I understand now is that the 6 gal self igniting tanks are aluminum so no anode rod. It looks like a periodic flush, if sediments are present, with 4 parts of vinegar & 2 parts of water (4 gallons vinegar & 2 gal of water) will do the trick for maintenance.

I flush our water heater once a year when I winterize the trailer. I haven't used vinegar/water mix that you posted, I use water only and Camco's water heater flush tool (#11691).

BTW, I find that same water heater flush tool convenient when filling the fresh water tank(s): It sticks way down in the filler neck, allows air to flow back out of the filler, and has a shutoff valve.
