Water Supply Hose Leak Question

First time out with our new-to-us Jay Flight. Discovered this leak this morning, coming from the supply side of the water pump:

(My apologies, but the pic comes out sideways, no idea why)

The white hose (that actually comes up from the floor/pump) with the black clamp is leaking from the top, as though the clamp isn't tight enough. If you look closely, you can see water bubbling a bit.

The question: what's that clamp called, and how do I tighten or replace it? I'm guessing there's some sort of crimping tool involved.

You can use the crimping tool or some front cutters to tighten, but if that doesn't work you can use a regular hose clamp. It is pretty common the braded flex hoses leak with those crimp clamps (because of ID/OD difference).

When you get that crimped fitting and hose off see if the tee is cracked or otherwise marred. Knock on wood, I've never had a pex crimp fitting come loose.

Got a hose clamp as suggested, seems to be good to go. Must've been leaking for some time w/ the previous owner, I smell a bit of mildew under there. Either way, leak fixed and airing it out.

If you have room leave the crimp clamp in place and use a regular hose clamp just behind it if there is still pipe to clamp over inside.

Thought about that, but couldn't really tell at the goofy angle I was seeing it from if there would be enough t-fitting left to do that, so I clipped it and threw the hose clamp in place. Still working 12 hours later (thankfully)...

I bought the crimping tool this summer at Home depot, for about $4. It looks a bit like a nail puller, you will find it in the plumbing section.

Any advantages to this type of "crimping" over a hose clamp? Having never used one myself, I feel better with the good old hose clamp, but is there a reason they come with these, other than probably cost and speed of installation?

Last summer was the first time I used them, when I installed an irrigation system. They where really east to use, I did not feal I could damage them. The radiator hose clamp style, I have damaged many of them over the years, by over tightening them.
