Westlake (OEM) tires question

Has anyone had trouble with these tires ..? I have a buddy of mine that bought his fifth wheel last year and as he was heading from Texas out to Tucson he made it as far as Abilene and had a blowout. Did damage to the trailer siding by the affected wheel and rim. He maintained control of the trailer and had to change the tire along I-20. He said he is changing out all 4 tires to Good Year because they are the only manufacturer in the U.S.A. that makes a good tire for these heavy campers.
Just thought I would ask and see if anyone else had trouble with the OEM tires.

Thanks

Does “yes” answer your question?
Just kidding. I’ve not heard of that brand but that is a very popular and frequent topic. The tires made in China generally do not get good reviews. Maxxis (I think from Taiwan), Goodyear Endurance (USA) or LT tires are pretty popular and seem dependable. I’m also a fan of tire pressure monitors (TPMS) which doesn’t prevent issues but can warn of problems as they develop. Mine has saved my bacon twice!

When it comes time to get another TT, if it doesn't already have Goodyear Endurance tires on it, it will be part of the package deal or I won't buy it.

Good Year Endurance or Good Year G614 tires

We just purchased ours and only drug it home from the dealer so far. I'm seriously thinking about dragging it to the nearest Discount Tire and having the tires replaced before I take it out on the road at all due to this..!
I think its a shame that we spend the money that we do on these and they put such junky tires on them.

Mine had Rainier on it. I noticed and made a big deal to the dealer. It didn't take much to get them to change them to brand new Goodyears at no charge to me. Good tires on campers is very important. I didn't want my 40' eagle getting torn up over Chinese bomb tires... it cost WAY too much money to have junk tires.
