First shakedown trip in 3 day old 2022 24RE:
-Air Conditioner and fans won't start. (breaker/power good)
-Fireplace typical error '88' - fan stopped running (can't reset via breaker or power cord)
-Black tank flush no water entering (have to locate and check backflow preventer-not under bathroom sink, ugh)

I was really hoping that maybe some trim pieces would become loose etc, not some major equipment.

On the positive side, the furnace works and so does the propane fridge.

Well, I ordered the lights. But of course today it works fine. Not sure what’s going on there but I have a feeling it’s deeper in the wiring than I care to go.

My plumbing connection to my sink. Found water flowing from under the kitchen cabinets.

It's an amazing phenomenon I refer to as psycho-mechanics.

A) Doesn't work until you get back with a new part.
B) You pull your hair out with the problem, then your buddy comes by, looks
at it, and fixes it in 60 seconds.
C) Won't work at all until you press the "order" button on the
website/Amazon.

Greyhawk 29MV - First major trip of 1700 miles each way. The two issues that weren't self-inflicted:
1. the bedroom rear AC compressor wouldn't kick on reliably. I thought it was the thermostat but found out it was a broken red wire in the wall only AFTER I bought a replacement with a no return policy.
2. the Sony AVX-3000 display crapped out just yesterday. I wasn't sure if there was a line in 3.5mm somewhere as we were watching a movie and the center channel was incredibly quiet. I figured trying to run it through the stereo might offer some extra volume. I was feeling around the screen to see if one was there and brushed feather-light against the ribbon cable that connects it and poof. it's now hit or miss as to whether it will work. I disassembled the whole thing and looks like there is some significant ribbon damage from a poor install job.

I chatted with Sony to see if I can get a new ribbon and their answer was "contact a professional repair center". Love their support. I'll be calling Jayco Monday to see if they can do something before my trip home but doubtful.

Made it from Texas to Colorado and back. A week up there. No issues. Until I got home.

This one was all me. Parked in front of the house to unload. Door wouldn’t open all the way to get the steps down because it was too close to the mailbox. Simple. Close the door, hop in the the truck and pull it so the door is past the mailbox. Missed a step….. I forgot to fold in the grab handle. It was no match for a brick mailbox and a Duramax.

I took it off the trailer and straightened it as best I could without breaking it. Black gorilla tape around the shredded foam. Good enough for now, but hopefully I can find a replacement online.

That sucks, but I'd bet a beer you're not the first, or last to do that.

If you're ok with the bar itself, you can get replacement wall brackets and foam sleeve on their website here.

Thank you. I was looking on line and having trouble finding the exact match. Don’t want to drill new holes. This appears to be it. I think I’ll order the whole thing and go with the black bar this time. Easier to see the contrast in color. Less chance of a screw up. Maybe.

Minor flood when kichen drain trap disconnected.
Kitchen sinks dropped down about 1/4" on left and in rear. Silicone joint holding them up had failed.
Solution was to clean off the old silicone and create bracing out of 3/4" plywood pieces and re-attach the sink with silicone.
Also, I created a "shoe" to slide underneath and hold the drain pipe up so the trap would not detach itself again. Working for 2,000 miles this trip, so far.
Bunk over driver compartment quit operating last year. Two wires found disconnected which I have not managed to sort out so far.
That's about it, for now ?

This maybe not psycho-mechanics, but I do experience that also.
My main issue (one of many???) is murphy's-mechanics! It's my brain thinking, "easy fix, it will only take 15 minutes"... 2+ hours later,... I'm done... Finally.

First time list of issues

We noticed before we left for our first trip in the 2022 284BHS that we have no power at outdoor TV outlet, and the slide seems to be cutting into our floor. So we note these things and we are off. Some unknown Chevy trailer wiring issues later we arrive at Jelly stone park in Lura y. AC unit seems to be working but struggling a bit, and by the second day it is short cycling. I'm an HVAC Mechanic by trade, but I leave this alone for the warranty. We notice that one of the armrests on the Dinette is not secured down, and there are now two rips showing up in the floor from the slide. We drive home on Sunday. Hook up to shore power. The surge protector reads good. Turn on the AC. Trips the shore power. Cycle everything, and make sure just the AC is turned on surge protector reads open neutral. Bringing the rig back to camping world for list of repairs to be addressed.

Sound like a normal first time in a brand new camper?

BMPRO tablet went tango uniform (battery fried) two weeks ago. Replaced tablet with Vankyo MatrixPad S7 (fits perfectly). Way better touch screen. Only issue was the small wire harness needed extended about a 1 1/2 inches for micro usb plugins to fit. Also use Lucid DayDream screensaver to prevent resetting tablet or I can allow never to sleep.

I damaged mine too when I forgot to fold mine flat. I was able to bend it straight again, but it never looked right. I found an exact replacement at a rv dealerships parts department.

Glad I wasn’t the only one. Guess it’s better than an awning or slide out.

New member, still chasing problems

JU Almon, 21 Super Lite 212FB owner since 2020. The factory QA was lacking, so I bought some problems.

Other than frequent repairs, it is OK. Sort of like buying a boat, I guess.

2017 212QBW new to us last fall. Everything worked fine until last month. The radio will no longer come on. My guess is some wiring shook loose travelling. Will deal with it later. Too many wires in the little compartment for me to mess with.

What radio do you have? My 2017 has had that issue on and off. When you have a chance, slide the radio out and there should be a white fuse holder in the harness directly behind it. Double check that there is a good connection there. Mine rattles loose occasionally.
