Any luck on this? I also have a rear window off the track, can't get the sliders back into the track. I tried removing the window, hoping to put it into the sliders, then re-install the window at the top. Can't do that because it has to swing into the groove to connect and that can't be done with the slider attached.

Also tried to remove the mechanism and put it all back on together, but it is riveted into place - no screws to remove.

Any luck? I'm stumped and on the road. I hate driving with it open!!!

Best solution I found was to drill out the rivet and replace with a machine screw held in place with a nut and washer. Then when the window comes off the track, you can pop it back on and lock it back into place with the nut.

Cannot believe Jayco used a rivet for this.... I have changed mine all out. Works great. No issues and an easy workaround.

If they are the frameless windows there should be set screws across the top of the hinge. Removing these set screws allows the window to slide sideways. By sliding the window one way and then the other you can put the sliders back in the track. Reinstall the set screws and you are done.

I was told the same thing, but the problem is the hinge at the top. The windows go into a D-shaped track -they go into that track at about a 40 degree angle away from the trailer, then swing down, but cannot attach to the crank at the bottom when that happens as the roller needs to slide into the bottom of the window to do that.

You need to remove the crank entirely, install the window, then put the roller back into the groove, then re-install the crank with a machine screw and a nut & washer. I can't see any other way to possibly attach the crank mechanism.

Yours must be different than mine - there is no way to do what you suggest on my windows. I even took it to Jayco to see if there was some "trick" to it. Their "trick" was to replace a perfectly good window with a new one and rivet that into place just like new. And these things pop off a fair bit -NOT a great design for those cranks....
