Winterizing with air question

I'm winterizing today with anti freeze and while doing so looked at the outside shower quick connect (I knew that) just like my air compressor, I think. Here is the question. Can you hook the compressed air to that factory water out fitting? Open the valves and I have a compressed air system and the air system should evacuate all the water lines.

Does your city water inlet have a screw on cap or just a rubber plug? prob blow off if its rubber. Buy a plastic or brass "blow out plug" that fits the fresh inlet.

You probably could make an adaptor to fit the outside shower. I made one for the city water connection, inconjunction with an elbow and a 1/4 turn hose shutoff. Works nice, and I know theat section of pipe is clear of water.

If you have a city water inlet why not use that? Check your pump and if you have a filter on it before the pump remember to manually empty it.
