X19H Water Leak

Howdy!

We have a 2013 X19H and get a puddle of water in the corner below the furnace when it rains or when we wash the camper. It did this a few times last year and we didn't think much of it, as we thought maybe the dog splashed water out of her water bowl. Not the case! Removed the storage drawer under the fridge and found the area damp where the wheel-well meets the wall (all the saw dust from the factory is absorbing the water quite nicely). It looks to me like the water is coming in from the exterior access panel for the refrigerator. Looks to be leaking between the door and the trim, which there really isn't much of anything in there to guide the water away. The plywood is soaking up the water quickly. I really don't want to have to take it back to the dealer where it will sit for 6 weeks before anything gets done - anyone else come across this? Any DIY remedies? Thinking about applying some caulking/sealant behind the access door...

IS it still under warranty? I think I would contact the dealer if so.

The moisture could be coming from a number of places (i.e., frig condensation tube, wheel well seam, plumbing, access panel, etc.). I would contact (phone & e-mail) your dealer and schedule a time that they can inspect without the TT siting on their lot. It's best to have any leaks documented in the Jayco Warranty Service Claim system in the event it becomes an expensive issue in the future.

That could be a hard one to track down. If it is under warranty, have the dealer look at it. Personally, I would put a little toilet paper done in a variety of places where the water might becoming from. The wet paper will give you indication where it is coming from. Think three dimensionally, as it could be coming from above, or the 2 ate could be following a pipe, a wire, a board before dripping on the floor. Have you open new the refrigerator access panel outside? In that area there are lots of places water could be coming from.

What happened? Did this get fixed? What was wrong and how was it fixed? (I have the same issue with my X19H)

Well, we finally got the trailer back from the dealer a couple weeks ago. The service department thought it was a leaking water supply line and had it sitting there for a few weeks and ran numerous pressure tests. Finally they agreed with my findings that the water was coming from the exterior refrigerator vent. The dealer applied some sealant (before/after pictures attached) and we haven't had an issue after a few driving rain storms in the past two weeks. We did notice the seams starting to leak substantially on the canvas ends and sealed those up with some seam sealer, which seems to be working quite nicely. The service department stated that the 2014 models have a different refrigerator vent configuration than the 2013 models did to alleviate this problem, although I was unable to verify as the dealer didn't have any on the lot. Just heard from my dealer and it looks to be a similar issue. It was an area in the access panel outside the fridge that was not caulked properly. They have resolved it and it's ready for pickup. If the repair is appears different than Zoey's, I'll post pics.
