Avoid I10 in El Paso on Sunday March 12-13

Interstate 10 in El Paso will be closed both East and westbound at MM 9.

27 Hours:
The following closures will go into effect starting at 3 am March 12 and will re-open at 6 am March 13:
• I-10 Eastbound will be completely closed after Redd Road. Traffic will be detoured at the Redd Road Exit (Exit 9) and onto Doniphan Drive (SH 20). Follow the detour signs in place.
• North Mesa Street (SH 20) in both directions will be completely closed at the I-10 Overpass. Follow the detour signs in place.
• South Desert Boulevard frontage road will be closed to through-traffic between Redd Road and Thorn Avenue, and completely closed to all traffic after Thorn Avenue.

If you are just passing through El Paso, I suggest you take Loop 375 both east and west to go around that. Trust me, it will be a giant mess.

Another alternative if you are coming from the west is to take NM 404 exit and head east. You then can navigate around the city from there.
