Central New York RV Show - March 3-6

CNY RV Show - New York's Largest Indoor RV Show

8 dealers among 4 buildings at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse. It looks like Jayco and Starcraft will both be represented.

Was there on the 3rd, lots of both on the floor. Were there about four hours looking. Some really nice stuff. Was shocked to see a TT, a truck camper, and a TH TT, with FORD all over them! Yup, Ford. Check out "Livin' Lite" RV's

Yep, the Ford campers were unexpected. Some people seemed to be drawn to them like moths to a light. Not sure what all of the excitement was about in all honesty. From a distance, it looked like nothing more than an F-150 windshield on the front of a camper, TT wheels to match the trucks, and some Ford logos plastered on them. The Ford TC poised above the F-150 had me shaking my head. I'm thinking it was a good idea that they didn't actually lower it onto the truck. Even with the aluminum construction on the TC, I'm not seeing the real world practicality for this combination with a dry weight starting at 2153 lbs for even the lightest unit (which this TC was not). I'm sure the weight police will chime in soon enough to confirm or correct me. And of course, with me being the GM guy that I am, I snubbed my nose at the entire Ford display in general and refused to take a closer look so my information may be a little spotty at best.

Didn't even notice it wasn't lowered on the truck! Took a quick look inside, and that was it. The floor plans on the TT's weren't interesting, so we moved on. THe only thing we bought all morning was TP!

I'm not sure what it says about our life choices, but the only thing the DW and I bought at the show was an assortment of wine. Mmmm...tasty.

Come camping in the Fingerlakes, and you'll have a couple hundred wineries to sample. That will fill your wine cellar nicely!
