1983 Jayco

I am looking at buying a 83, 25" jayco motor home. It is on a Chevy C30 frame and has a 6.2L diesel engine with 33K miles.

The outside is in really good shape for its age and the bottom of the chassis looks dry (no oil dripping).

Does anyone have any info on this unit as to gas mileage, transmission, gearing etc.

I cant find anything on the Jayco website or on the internet.

I have not had a chance to drive it yet or to check out the appliances but thought I would ask here to see if maybe someone owned one at one time.

Any info would be great.

He is asking $4500.00 OBO.

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Larry B! While waiting for some replies here from members who may have knowlege/experience with that MH, try Googling "checklist for buying a used motorhome".

Here is one of those that popped up...

Also, call Jayco direct and ask about recalls, problems, etc associated with that yr/make MH. If you can give them the vin# they can also give you a history on it if the previous owner took it into a dealer for work over the years
